Welcome to BSDroid.org!

This site is dedicated to porting of Android framework to FreeBSD.

Main goal of project is to provide native binaries for tools and make it possible to develop Android applications on FreeBSD powered system without Android SDK for Linux.

SDK

Current status: SDK is compiled on FreeBSD 8.0 (i386) and FreeBSD 8.1-RC1 (amd64), all tools seems working as required for i386, amd64 version is considered buggy and not working. All binary tools are native for FreeBSD, host tools were compiled using gcc4 (some projects by gcc34 due dependencies on unwind.h and so on), target binaries were compiled using arm-eabi-4.4.0 (compiled from android-toolchain sources).

Sources for compilation were taken from git repository (see android sources site (external link)). All related commits are published in freebsd-port branch. Commits are uploaded for reviews, however not all of them may be in public korg/master branch. Since maintainers of AOSP can't support (external link) FreeBSD, related patches are not uploaded for review now, but available in bsdroid.org repository via android tool.
